Recently, a man by the name of Clarence Carter was arrested by police for drug possession and possession of a stolen gun. Carter is known for being implicated for the murder of Jasmine Lynn, a Spelman student, who was killed in September of 2009.
At this time, police say that Carter is facing charges for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime. If convicted, Carter will definitely face jail time for his offenses.
Last week Tuesday, police stopped Carter and found more than an ounce of marijuana on his body. He was originally pulled over for driving without a seatbelt and for having expired tags. Police report that instead of stopping, Carter tried to run away from them, but was caught after a brief chase. Currently, Carter is currently being held in lieu of a $28,000 bond.
