5 Arrested in Buford for Trafficking Meth

It appears that the drug trafficking problem in Georgia is not going away anytime soon.

Police recently arrested five men in Buford for their involvement in a methamphetamine ring. Upon searching the home on Saddlegate Drive, investigators found and seized 194 grams of meth and a SKS firearm. All five men are in jail and are being held without bail.

According to police, the suspects are not amateurs when it comes to trafficking drugs. One of the suspects, 31-year-old Antonio Carbajal, is known to have been involved in two previous meth deals, and has a history of sending runners to conduct transactions.

Each of the men has been charged with trafficking and weapons crimes. All except one of the suspects, Eduardo de la Cruz, are also being held for immigration authorities since they are neither a resident nor a citizen of the United States. Cruz is the exception since he was born in Texas.
