In Darien, Georgia, a stepfather by the name of Brian Gale has been arrested and charged with felony murder. He was also charged with cruelty to children. Criminal charges were filed against Gale after his stepson died in while the two were on a hunting trip together.
This week, Gale was arrested by the McIntosh Police Department after his stepson was left alone after the two went hunting together. According to police, the stepson died because Gale did not leave him with sufficient materials to maintain his body temperature in the wilderness. Gale left the boy alone and went to get help after the pair became lost on their hunting trip.
The hunting trip occurred in March in the Altamaha Wildlife Management Area. Police officers later found the boy lying face down in a pool of water. Gale was then charged with murder and accused of child cruelty.
