Man Charged with Drug Possession in Georgia
Earlier this week, man who was stopped by police for a traffic infraction found himself in deeper trouble. Originally, the man was stopped by a Georgia State Trooper for not wearing a seatbelt. However, when the trooper pulled him over, he found hydrocodone tablets in the man's vehicle, prompting an arrest for possession of narcotics.
Reports indicate that 32 year old Richard Brian Ruth was stopped on Wednesday morning at the intersection of Depot Street and Floyd Springs Road. In addition to being arrested for a drug crime, Ruth was also arrested for failure to keep drugs in their original container and driving with a suspended license.
After his arrest, he was taken to Floyd County Jail and booked for multiple offenses.
