Facebook Leads to Kidnapping Charges against Father

News sources report that a father is now in jail after kidnapping his two children over 14 years ago.  The children used to reside in California, but their father took them across state lines to Central Florida. 

Now, Faustino Utrera has been charged with two counts of kidnapping and also two counts of violating child custody orders.  Police arrested Utrera on Wednesday when he went to pick up his 16 year old son from high school.

Back in 1995, Utrera took his two children from the family in San Bernardino.  Investigators looked for him for years with no luck.  Then, in March, the mother of the children managed to locate her daughter on Facebook.  The daughter told the mother that she wanted nothing to do with her and deleted her Facebook page.

The mother went to police and authorities issued an out-of-state arrest warrant in Utrera's name.
