University of Georgia Wanted for Felony Theft

In Athens, Georgia, police with the University of Georgia report that they are searching for a UGA employee that has been charged with felony theft.  The employee allegedly stole from the school's bursar office.

On Wednesday, a warrant was issued in Ashley Nicole Threlkeld's name for one count of theft by taking. According to University Police Chief Jimmy Williamson, Threlkeld had worked as a teller at the UGA's bursar office and she handled cash transactions for students and employees.  He said that Threlkeld stole $1,798 last month from the school.

After running this week's report, the University contacted police after the discovered that Threlkeld's cash draw was short.
