Johnson was sentenced to the Federal Bureau of Prisons by District Judge W. According to a spokeswoman from the from the U.S. Attorney's Office, Johnson will have to serve his full jail sentence as there is no parole in the federal system.

On June 13, 2007, Johnson was arrested after having outstanding warrants.  At the time of his arrest, he possessed 16.7 grams of cocaine hydrochloride and 17.6 grams of "crack cocaine".
